Walking with you on your journey of self-exploration, self-improvement, and self-fulfillment.
Stephanie E. Jones:
I became a counselor to help people solve everyday problems, overcome obstacles, and heal wounds that have been suffered in their lives. It is my belief that each person has the answer to his/her problems inside and sometimes just needs encouragement, support or guidance in finding them. I am committed to creating a nonjudgmental, supportive environment for my clients to discuss any issue. My aim is to empower my clients with tools and skills to help resolve life’s challenges and to help them cultivate the life that they desire. My approach is based in cognitive-behavioral psychology with therapy that is tailored to the individual needs of each client.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee State University (Nashville, TN). After an engineering career of more than 15 years, I decided to pursue my passion to help others. I returned to school and received a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University (Atlanta, GA).
My passion is encouraging and assisting others. David Richo’s words ring true to me now more than ever - “Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.” I believe that God has allowed me to experience hardships and hurts not only to help me become my best self, but also to help others through their pain and struggles.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, traveling, reading, tackling an occasional DIY project, and laughing with family and friends.
